● How long have you been doing what you do and how did you get to be a coach for yoga teachers?

 

My yoga practice began in 2007 when I took my first yoga class led by an adorable Russian teacher at my college. It was meant to be! From the first class, I was hooked. The mind, body and breath connection did wonders for my life as an uncertain college student. Truth be told, I had no thoughts or idea that I would turn this passion into a sustainable business. After spending time in the corporate world I was laid off in 2014 and had that “now what?” moment! The job market was hard and I came to a realization that with my dedication and experience, I had what it takes to be a business owner. 

 

After much reflection and a stent out west, I decided to enroll in a 200 hour YTT and launch my mobile yoga studio - The Rolling Mat - so that I could keep up with my wandering spirit and bring the practice of yoga to communities everywhere! In starting my business, I took a lot of falls, I taught over 10 classes per week and still had to bartend to make ends meet. 

 

I knew I needed to create a more sustainable and profitable business model which led me to niching into corporate wellness. Talk about impact and income! I have had the honor to work with companies like: AT&T, Whole Foods, Keller Williams Realty, The American Cancer Society, Acuity Lighting, We Work, and small businesses around my area. It has been some of the most rewarding work that I have done and it allows me to live the life that I want. 

 

Coaching came into my life when I would hear stories of other teachers being broke and burnt out, quitting teaching because they could not make a living doing what they love - let’s face it, the “teaching in a studio” model is not sustainable! I knew I wanted and could have an even greater impact with all of the knowledge and success collected over the years. I soon discovered that there were MANY teachers that wanted to provide their services to a corporate audience but were lost on: who to talk to, what to offer, how to pitch the offer.... All obstacles that I had solutions for! Alas, The Elite Corporate Yogi was born in 2019 and had 8 founding members! Happy to report that we are growing and going strong - helping yoga teachers become successful corporate Yogipreneurs! 

 

● Who are your clients exactly?

 

I work with Yoga teachers and wellness professionals like you that are wanting to create a solid business model by building a sustainable corporate yoga and wellness business or branch of business; however, they are stuck in a cycle of not knowing where to start and drafting over-saturated to-do lists that are like throwing spaghetti at the wall to see what sticks!

 

We work with yoga teachers and wellness pros who are just starting out and want to build a brand and audience to those that have clients and are looking to grow their audience and streams of revenue.

● What happens if you haven't yet worked with people in my field?

 

I have worked with yoga teachers, mindset coaches, nutritionists, cross fit instructors, health & beauty coaches, and fellow corporate wellness providers like myself.  Most likely I have worked with people in your field. Yet, I have to share with you that if I haven’t, you are not at a disadvantage, quite to the contrary. 

Here’s why: people in your field are probably ALL doing the same things to attract new clients. I’ll guess this creates a lot of repetition. What my current and former clients have found exceedingly helpful is that I bring an extremely fresh perspective to their outreach and offers and give them resources they’d never heard of in their field. Because of this, they stand out in an overcrowded marketplace and are the ones who start getting the clients.

 

● How are you different from other "yoga business coaches?"

 

I am not a yogi-of-all-trades coach! We offer specialized business strategy focused on enrolling and retaining corporate clients that will set you apart from other teachers in the industry.
