Rollin' Yogi - Unfiltered

I said this blog and this yoga journey was going to be open and be truthful, this blogging business is a new venture and new challenge which, like many things in life, draws my attention to finding patience and balance! I have some great reads in store for you all! Reflecting on the last couple of years, there have been so many amazing adventures and people that I've met which have largely contributed to where I am now.

I’m a rollin’ yogi, with a mobile yoga business, and The Rolling Mat and I are always on the go, teaching and trying new things, connecting with the environment and community in every way and everywhere!

To share some of my experience, I’d like to invite you to check out this link meditation&sound.pdf​ as it provides a little practice of awareness. It may assist in helping you find a little patience with your time and balance within. Some of these ideas I pulled from one of my favorite books, The Little Book of Mindfulness by Dr. Patrizia Collard. This book was a game changer for me, and I will convey why within my next few blogs.

I practiced this exercise during a one of my many west coast adventures, while I was staying with a wonderful woman in Topanga Canyon, a beautiful and tranquil spot about 45 minutes outside of Los Angeles. I highly recommend venturing out to this area if you need a mental reset. The entire experience - from the canyon to LA awakened my spirit and changed my mental focus.

I began to draw my awareness to the importance of living in the moment and not worrying about what will be. Taking the good with the bad, appreciating the life I lead and everyone in it. Living everyday as if it were my last. We could all benefit from taking a step back and becoming more aware.
